What is a Barbed Wire?

A barbed wire is a metal wire usually made of steel (iron ore and coke) with regularly spaced sharp edges called “barbs”. These sharp points are arranged at intervals along the strand(s). It is formed by twisting the cable wires around each other.

PVC Coated Barbed Iron Wire

We also offer barbed iron wires that are coated with PVC. The tensile strength of standard PVC coated barbed iron wire is 30-45 kg. /sq.mm. The core may come in galvanized iron wire or black annealed iron wire. It is also available in a variety of colors such as blue, gray, green, orange, and yellow. Our PVC coated barbed iron wire is packed in a coil of 25 kilos or 50 kilos net, lined with P.V.C strips, then wrapped with P.V.C or hessian cloth.
